Julie Arner, LCAT
Psychotherapy
Licensed Creative Arts Therapist
Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist
For over 20 years, I have been helping New Yorkers feel better as they move through life’s challenges with a compassionate, empathetic, and creative approach to therapy. I guide clients towards understanding emotions and behaviors, in order to break free from patterns that are no longer useful. While my practice is primarily talk based, my training as a dance/movement therapist informs my holistic therapeutic approach, and encourages a more comfortable mind/body connection. You can expect sessions to be part exploration, part practical problem solving, with the goal of finding your footing and increasing a sense of ease. I value your time, and strive to make the most of each session within an environment of nonjudgmental support.
